ROJAS IS BEST PREDICTOR IN FINAL PACE RACE OF SEASON

(10-1-2024)

Aurea Rojas was the top predictor in the final pace race of the 2024 season held on the Canyon Rim Trail. She was 1 second off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Jan Velechovsky with a 2 second differential; Lynn Bjorklund recording a 4 second difference as well as the first female finisher on the 3 mile course at 24:10; Roxana Candia at 13 seconds off; and Zach Medin with a 27 second differential.

In the 1 mile distance 12 year old Levi Gartz was the top finisher with a time of 7:40 and Lily Nolen also 12 was the best female finisher at 12:07.

Lisa Johnson was the first finisher on the 2 mile course recording a 23:18 and the best male finisher was Michael Cooper at 23:46.

On the 3 mile course the top finisher was Paul Geimer with a time of 18:07.

The Club's 51st season will start on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Canyon Rim Trailhead on East Road (State Route # 502) across from the Co-operative Market. 1, 2, and 3 mile paved courses will be available.

KEILERS IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(9-24-2024)

Chloe Keilers was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Lower Water Canyon Trail on State Route # 4 in the White Rock area. She had a 14 second differential from her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Catherine Hensley at 15 seconds off; Cliff Stanley with a 20 second difference; Valerio Pinchetti recording 24 seconds off; and Deana Tsang with a 37 second differential.

10 year old Levi Gartz was the top finisher on the 1 mile course at 8:23 and Aurea Rojas was the first female finisher with a time of 11:28.

In the 2 mile distance Hal Marshall recorded a time of 22:51 for first place and the best female was Sonja Behnke at 25:08.

On the 3 mile course Eric Anderson was the best finisher at 21:36 and Madeline Harms was the top female with a time of 31:20.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Canyon Rim Trailhead on East Road (State Route # 502) across the road from the Co-operative Market. It will be the last race of the 2024 season, the 50th season of the Club. 1 ,2 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.

HENSLEY IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(9-17-2024)

Catherine Hensley was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Perimeter Trail near the Guaje Pines Cemetery. She had 33 second differential from her predicted time as well as the first place finisher on the 1 mile course at 17:19. Other accurate finishers were: Tony Borek recording a 40 second difference; Valerio Pinchetti at 54 seconds off; Eric Anderson with a 57 second differential and the top finisher in the 3 mile distance with a time of 23:27; and Aurea Rojas at 92 seconds off.

Jan Velechovsky with 3 year old daughter Robin Bujack was the best male finisher on the 1 mile course at 22:05.

Felix Candia was the first finisher in the 2 mile distance recording a 22:35.

On the 3 mile course Madeline Harms was the top female finisher at 33:59.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024 at 6:00 PM and will be on the lower Water Canyon Trail which is located approximately 2.8 miles from the Pajarito Road and State Route # 4 junction in White Rock and taking a right after coming down Pajarito Road to the Pajarito Road/ State Route # 4 junction and heading West on State Route # 4 toward the Bandelier National Monument on the left side of the road. 1, 2 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

STANLEY IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(9-10-2024)

Cliff Stanley was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on Arizona Avenue at the Pajarito Complex. He was 6 seconds off his predicted time as well as the first male finisher on the 1 mile course. Other accurate predictors were: Deana Tsang with a 8 second differential; David Liu recording a 13 second difference; Sasha Tomalak at 14 seconds off; and Chris Geimer with a 18 second differential.

Lisa Johnson was the top finisher in the 1 mile distance at 11:47.

On the 3 mile course Paul Geimer recorded a 20:15 for first place and Priscila Rosa was the best female finisher with a time of 29:50.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 at 6:00 PM and will start at the end of Range Road just past the entrance to Guaje Pines Cemetery. Range Road is the left turn off Diamond Drive at the fire station across from the golf course. 1 mile paved and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

BAILY HAS PERFECT PREDICTION IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(9-3-2024)

Scott Baily had perfect prediction in the weekly pace race held on Rendija Road in Rendija Canyon off Barranca Mesa. He predicted a finish time of 29:00 minutes and finished in that stated time. Other accurate predictors were: Lisa Johnson with a 30 second differential as well as the best female finisher on the 1 mile course with a time of 12:02; Sonja Behnke at 33 seconds off; Teddy Atkins, Junior recording a 51 second difference and the top finisher in the 1 mile distance at 9:50; and Jacky Atkins with a 54 second differential.

Paul Geimer was the best finisher on the 3 mile course recording a 25:34 and the top female was Madeline Harms at 34:50.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 at 6:00 PM and will start at the Pajarito Complex on Arizona Avenue (presently a LANL facility, formerly a County school). 1 mile paved and 3 mile hybrid (paved and trail) courses will be available.

SCOGGINS IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(8-27-2024)

Warren Scoggins was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Kwage Mesa Trail on North Mesa. He was 23 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Zeke Wilmot with a 32 second differential; Chris Michel recording a 60 second difference; Paul Geimer at 70 seconds off as well as the top finisher in the 3 mile distance at 19:25; Catherine Hensley with a 96 second differential and the best finisher in the 1 mile paved course recording a 17:13.

12 year old Lily Nolen was the best finisher on the 1 mile trail course with a time of 13:51.

Deana Tsang was the first female in the 3 mile distance at 28:19.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 at 6:00 PM starting on Rendija Road on Barranca Mesa and can be gotten to by bearing left at the 90 degree turn on Barranca Mesa which is the junction of San Ildefonso Road and Barranca Road by the playground park and heading down into Rendija Canyon on Rendija Road (gravel road) approximately 1.5 miles past the Los Alamos Sportsman Club with the start on the left. 1 mile gravel road and 3 mile gravel road/trail runs will be available.

HENSLEY IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(8-20-2024)

Catherine Hensley was the top predictor held on the trail behind the County Aquatic Center. She was 9 seconds off her predicted time as well as the first female finisher on the 1 mile paved course recording a 17:23. Other accurate predictors were: Ted Atkins, Senior with a 24 second differential; Elizabeth Atkins recording a 30 second difference; Paul Geimer and 1 year old Iris Geimer at 39 seconds off as well as the top finisher in the 1 mile paved distance at 6:54; and 12 year old Lily Nolen with a 60 second differential and the best female finisher on the 1 mile trail course with a time of 13:42.

On the 1 mile trail course Hal Marshall was first at 10:57.

Valerio Pinchetti was the best finisher on the 3 mile trail distance recording a 25:24 and the top female was Madeline Harms with a time of 32:11.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 at 6:00 PM and will start on North Mesa off San Ildefonso Road past the soccer field and taking a left on the access road in the open field to the playground/tennis courts. 1 mile paved and 1 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

FARMER IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(8-13-2024)

Joey Farmer was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the paved courses starting at Pinon Park (Rocket Park) in White Rock. He had a 11 second difference from his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Chris Michel at 14 seconds off; Steve Daly and Jan Velechovsky tied with a 15 second differential with Daly also the top finisher on the 1 mile course at 11:15; Catherine Hensley at 18 seconds off as well as the best female finisher in the 1 mile distance recording a 17:24; and Madeline Harms with a 20 second difference.

On the 2 mile course Teddy Atkins, Junior was first with a time of 21:02 and 12 year old Lily Nolen was the top female at 26:07.

James Zola was the best finisher in the 3 mile distance recording a 21:07 and Lynn Bjorklund was the first female with a time of 26:01.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the County Aquatic Center on Canyon Road. 1 mile paved and 1 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

PINCHETTI IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Valerio Pinchetti was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Rendja Canyon Trail off Range Road. He was 8 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Deana Tsang with a 14 second differential; Conor Galvin at 18 seconds off; Lynn Bjorklund recording a 21 second difference as well as the first finisher on the 1 mile paved course; and Zach Medin and Jan Velechovsky tied at 27 seconds off.

Brian Newnam was the best male finisher on the 1 mile paved course at 15:16.

On the 2 mile trail distance Teddy Atkins was first recording 26:00 and the top female was Lisa Johnson at 27:20.

Paul Geimer was the best finisher on the 3 mile trail course with a time of 20:18 and Madeline Harms was the first female finisher at 27:35.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, 8-13-2024 at 6:00 PM and will start at Pinon (Rocket) Park in White Rock on Sherwood Boulevard across from Smith's. 1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.

ZOLA IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(7-30-2024)

James Zola was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Power Line Point Trail off State Route # 4. He had a 14 second differential off his predicted time and was also the first finisher in the 3 mile race at 22:16. Other accurate predictors were: Priscila Rosa recording a 32 second difference; Deana Tsang at 36 seconds off; Sasha Tomalak with a 39 second differential; and Cliff Stanley coming in at 67 seconds off.

In the 1 mile distance Sean Thomas with favorite dog Zoe was the best finisher with a time of 12:39.

Becky Chamberlin was the best finisher on the 2 mile course recording a 26:34 and Ted Atkins, Senior was the first male at 44:21.

On the 3 mile course Madeline Harms was the top female with a time of 27:36.

Next week's race will start on Range Road which is the left at the fire station off Diamond Drive heading North toward the traffic circle between Barranca Mesa and North Mesa and the start will be just before the Guaje Pines Cemetery entrance. 1 mile paved and 3 mile trail races will be available.

TOMALAK IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(7-23-2024)

Sasha Tomalak was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the trails by the traffic circle between Barranca Mesa and North Mesa with a 1 second differential off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Sean Thomas at 23 seconds off; Paul Geimer and 1 year old Iris Geimer recording a 24 second difference as well as the best finishers in the 1 mile paved course at 6:39; Valerio Pinchetti at 29 seconds off and the top finisher in the 3 mile trail distance recording a 23:29; and Katie Gattiker with a 32 second differential as well as the first female finisher on the 2 mile trail race at 30:36.

Julie Collins was the best female finisher on the 1 mile paved course with a time of 16:03.

On the 2 mile trail race Matt Fesko was the first finisher at 21:03.

Madeline Harms was the top female finisher in the 3 mile trail distance recording a 29:12.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Power Line Trailhead which is located on State Route # 4 West approximately 3.1 miles from the junction of State Route #4 and Pajarito Road in White Rock and turning right from Pajarito Road on to State Route # 4 and heading West on State Route # 4 towards Bandelier National Monument. 1, 2 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

MEDIN IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(7-16-2024)

14 year old Anders Medin was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Blue Dot Trail in White Rock recording a 9 second differential from his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Katie Smeltzer at 18 seconds off; Priscila Rosa with a 20 second difference; Steve Daly at 27 seconds off as well as the first finisher in the 1 mile trail run; and Mary Knaak with a 55 second differential.

On the 1 mile paved distance Kathy Daly was the best finisher at 14:04.

13 year old Adrian Medin was the top finisher in the 3 mile trail distance with a time of 25:40 and Madeline Harms was the first female recording a 27:55.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd at 6:00 PM on the sidewalk by the tunnel under San Ildefonso Road that is located by taking a left just past the traffic circle at the junction of North Mesa and Barranca Mesa after heading North on North Mesa Road. 1 mile paved and 2 and 3 mile trail distances will be available.

GEIMER IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Paul Geimer was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the trail across from the Laboratory "S" Site on West Jemez Road with 22 second differential off his predicted time and was also the first finisher in the 3 mile trail run at 21:44. Other accurate predictors were: Ted Atkins, Senior at 45 seconds off and the best male finisher on the 1 mile distance paved race recording a 22:25; Chris Michel with a 84 second difference; 1 year old Asner Zavorka recording a 87 second differential; and Madalena Onczarer at 99 seconds off.

In the 1 mile paved run Katie Gattiker was the top finisher in the 1 mile paved race 12:45.

Holly Walker was the top finisher in the 1 mile trail race with a time of 32:22 and Ron Geimer was the first male at 32:23.

13 year old Adrian Medin came in first in the 2 mile trail distance recording a 21:40.

On the 3 mile trail run Madeline Harms was the best female finisher with a time of 32:24.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Overlook Park in White Rock which is gotten to by taking a left off State Route # 4 by the gas station onto Rover Boulevard and taking the first left onto Meadow Lane and going approximately a mile or so to the Overlook Park entrance on the left and taking a left onto Overlook Road about a half mile on the right where the race will start by the parking lot and play ground. 1 mile paved and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

BEHNKE IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Sonja Behnke was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Canada Bonita Trail by the ski hill. She was 8 seconds off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Edith Acosta with a 11 second differential; Madeline Harms recording a 16 second difference as well as the top female finisher in the 3 mile distance at 28:44; Tony Borek and 13 year old Adrian Medin tied at 18 seconds off; and Zach Medin with a 22 second differential.

On the 1 mile course Becky Chamberlin was the first finisher with a time of 12:50.

In the 2 mile distance Paul Geimer with 1 year old Iris Geimer were the best finishers at 32:45 and the first female was Elizabeth Atkins recording a 45:27.

Lukas Zavorka was the top finisher on the 3 mile course at 22:08.

ZOLA IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

James Zola was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held at East Park with a 3 second differential from his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Zach Medin recording a 8 second difference; Tony Borek at 10 seconds off; Chris Michel with a 15 second differential; and Holly Walker at 21 seconds off as well as the best finisher in the 1 mile race with a time of 7:38.

In the 1 mile race Hal Marshall was the top male finisher recording a 9:33.

On the 3 mile course Paul Geimer and one year old Iris Geimer were the first place finishers at 20:51 and Madeline Harms was the the best female finisher recording a 27:38.

NEWNAM IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Brian Newnam was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on North Mesa at the North Mesa Picnic Grounds. He was 18 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Steve Daly with a 27 second differential; Paul Geimer with 1 year old Iris Geimer recorded a 42 second difference and was also the first finisher in the 1 mile race at 7:15; Julie Collins was 45 seconds off and was the best female finisher in the 1 mile distance with a time of 17:32; and Catherine Hensley had a 48 second differential.

On the 3 mile course Eric Anderson was the top finisher recording a 19:20 and Madeline Harms had a 25:18 for first place female.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 at 6:00 PM at East Park next to the Animal Shelter on East Road (State Route # 502). 1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.

SMELTZER IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Katie Smeltzer was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held out on Barranca Mesa near or on the Deer Trap Mesa with a 6 second differential from her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Tony Borek at 23 seconds off; Sasha Tomalak recording a 25 second difference as well as the first female finisher in the 3.6 mile distance with a time of 35:25; Valerio Pinchetti with a 38 second differential and the best finisher in 3.6 mile race at 27:22; and Felix Candia at 45 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course Julie Collins recorded a 15:58 for top finisher and Ted Williams was the best male finisher at 16:53.

In the 2 mile distance Warren Scroggins came in first recording a 28:50 and the top female was Evgenya Simakov with a time of 30:34.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, 6-18-2024 at 6:00 PM at the North Mesa Picnic Grounds out on North Mesa which can be gotten to by heading out on Diamond Drive North to the traffic circle and heading straight through the circle to North Mesa Road where the Picnic Grounds are on the left approximately a mile or so on the road. 1 mile paved and 3 mile hybrid courses will be available.

SMELTZER IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(6-4-2024)

2 year old Alex Smeltzer was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held in the Quemazon Complex at 12 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Sean Thomas with 19 second differential; Felix Candia recording 29 seconds off; Catherine Hensley with a 48 second difference; and Kathie Gattiker at a 55 second differential.

On the 1 mile course 14 year old Anders Medin was the first finisher with a time of 8:25 and Holly Walker with 1 year old Iris Geimer was the best female at 12:46.

In the 3 mile distance Lukas Zavorya was the best finisher recording a 26:43 and Madeline Harms was the top female with a time of 36:58.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 at 6:00 PM on Barranca Mesa and will start at the junction of Barranca Road and Navajo Road at the end of Barranca Road. The Deer Trap Mesa Trail will have 3 mile and 1 mile trail runs as well as a 1 mile paved run.

THOMAS IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Sean Thomas was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the bike path starting at Pinon Park (Rocket Park) across from Smith's in White Rock. He was 9 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Dann Brewer recording a 16 second difference; Mary Knaak with a 22 second differential; Aurea Rojas at 44 seconds off; and Felix Candia with a 47 second difference.

On the 1 mile course Jacky Atkins was the top finisher with a time of 12:47 and Brian Newnam was the first male finisher at 14:40.

In the 3 mile distance Andrea Mucchietto was the best finisher recording a 21:09 and Madeline Harms was the top female with a time of 25:24.

There will be no race held next week the day after Memorial Day, Tuesday, May 28th, 2024. The next race will held on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the Quemazon Development and it will start in front of the Quemazon Montessori School on Esperanza Road. It can be gotten to by taking Diamond Drive North and taking a left on North Road to the first left on Quemazon Road and the next right on Esperanza Road. 1 mile paved and 3 mile hybrid courses will be available.

Catherine Hensley was the best predictor in the weekly pace held on the Burnt Mesa Trail held in the Bandelier National Monument off State Route # 4. She was 6 seconds off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Ted Atkins, Senior with a 9 second differential; Ted Williams at 18 seconds off; Chris Michel recording a 20 second difference; Stephen Reimus with a 23 second differential.

On the 1 mile course 5 year old Ivana Velechovsky was the top finisher with a time of 13:18 and Cliff Stanley was the first male finisher at 17:34.

In the 2 mile distance Sonja Behnke recorded a 26:18 for first place.

On the 3 mile course Valerio Pinchetti was top finisher at 21:41 and Madeline Harms was the best female recording a 26:35.

Next week's race will be held in White Rock on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 starting at 6:00 PM starting at Pinon Park (Rocket Park) on Sherwood Boulevard across from Smith's on the bike path parallel to State Route # 4. 1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.

Aurea Rojas was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the trails and road adjacent to Fireman's Park near the Mitchell Trailhead in the Northern area of the County. She was 15 seconds off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Valerio Pinchetti recording a 19 second difference; Deana Tsang at 29 seconds off; Priscila Rosa with a 31 second differential; and Madeline Harms at 48 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course Paul Geimer with 1 year old Iris Geimer was the first finisher recording a 7:11 and Cecilia Duena had a time of 14:40 for best female finisher.

Eric Anderson had a 23:46 for top finisher in the 3 mile distance and Holly Walker was the first female with a time of 32:28.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 at 6:00 PM on the Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument. It is located approximately 1.4 miles on the right after turning left at the junction of State Route # 501 (West Jemez Road) and State Route # 4 (The Back Gate) and heading down State Route # 4 East towards the Bandelier entrance. 1 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

WALKER HAS PERFECT PREDICTION IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Holly Walker had a perfect prediction in the weekly pace race held on American Springs Road up in the Jemez. She had a time of 30:32 for her perfect prediction. Other accurate predictors were: Sean Thomas at 2 seconds off; a tie with a 3 second differential for Madeline Harms who was also the top female finisher in the 3 mile distance recording a 27:03 and Valerio Pinchetti; Peter McNiff recorded a 6 second difference; and Chris Michel was 8 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course 14 year old Anders Medin was the best finisher with a time of 8:20 and the first female finisher was Lisa Johnson at 13:12.

The top finisher in the 3 mile distance was Eric Anderson recording a 21:36.

Next week's race will be on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 starting at 6:00 PM at Fireman's Park at the corner of 45th Street and Arizona Avenue. 1 mile paved and 3 mile hybrid (paved and trail) runs will be available.

MEDIN IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(4-23-2024)

13 year old Anders Medin was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held out on North Mesa on the trail just North of the rodeo arena at 3 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: 13 year old Ander's brother Adrian Medin with a 11 second differential; father Zach Medin recording a 13 second difference; Sonja Behnke at 21 seconds off; and 5 year old Ivana Velechovsky with a 33 second differential.

On the 1 mile course 15 year old Tyler Johnson was the best finisher at 7:44 and mother Lisa Johnson was the first female recording a 11:22.

In the 3 mile distance Valerio Pinchetti was the top finisher with a time of 21:52 and Madeline Harms finished first in the female competition recording a 26:48.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 at 6:00 PM on American Springs Road which is located approximately 1.3 miles on the right after turning right at the Back Gate (the junction of State Route #4 and State Route # 501, also called West Jemez Road) and heading up into the Jemez on West Route # 4. 1 and 3 mile gravel road runs will be available.

TWO PARTICIPANTS TIE FOR TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(4-16-2024)

Lisa Johnson and Mary Knaak tied for the best predictors in the weekly pace race held on the Canada del Buey Trail in White Rock at 3 seconds off their predicted time. Johnson was also the first female finisher on the 1 mile course with a time of 11:44. Other accurate predictors were: Priscila Rosa with a 6 second differential; Zach Medin at 18 seconds off; Chris Michel recording a 22 second difference; and Felix Candia at 31 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course 13 year old Anders Medin was the best finisher recording a 8:14.

Eric Anderson had a 19:49 time for top finisher in the 3 mile distance and Madeline Harms was the first female finisher in that distance recording a time of 25:52.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 at 6:00 PM out on North Mesa beyond the horse stables just North of the rodeo arena. 1 and 3 mile dirt/gravel courses will be available.

THREE PARTICIPANTS TIE FOR BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(4-9-2024)

Three participants tied for top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the service road at the bottom of Main Hill just off State Route # 502. Holly Walker, Felix Candia, and David Kunsberg were all 1 second off their predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Sonja Behnke recorded a 5 second difference; Aurea Rojas was 6 seconds off; Jesse Woodroffe had a 7 second differential; and Zeke Wilmot recorded 10 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course the best finisher was Garrett Rust with a time of 10:59 and the top female was Lisa Johnson at 11:48.

Andrea Mucchietto was the first finisher recording a 21:38 and Madeline Harms was the best female finisher with a time of 26:23.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 at 6:00 PM on the Canada del Buey Trail in White Rock starting just West of the Chamisa Elementary School on Meadow Lane. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available.

NEWNAM IS TOP PREDICTOR IN THE OPENING OF THE 50th SEASON OF THE PACE RACE SERIES

(4-2-2024)

Brian Newnam was the best predictor in the opening of the 50th season of the pace race series at 6 seconds off his predicted time on the Canyon Rim Trail. Other accurate predictors were: Felix Candia with a 17 second differential; Warren Scoggins at 13 seconds off; Lynn Bjorklund recording a 33 second difference as well as the first female finisher in the 3 mile course with a time of 23:27; and Roxana Candia at 34 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course the top finisher was 13 year old Adrian Medin at 6:27 and the first female was Lisa Johnson recording a 11:40.

Paul Geimer with 1 year old Iris Geimer was the best finisher on the 3 mile course with a time of 18:50.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at 6:00 PM on road to the sewage plant which is located by turning left from State Route # 502 down Main Hill just past the the State Route # 4 White Rock sign junction. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available.
