2018 CROP WALK/TURKEY TROT HELD AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL THIS PAST SUNDAY

(11-18-2018)

Approximately 180 participants ran/walked either the CROP/Turkey Trot 2.57 mile or 1.7 mile shortened variation of the longer course on Sunday, the 18th of November, 2018. Turkeys and pumpkin pies were awarded via random drawing after the run/walk. All donations collected will be utilized by the CROP and LA Cares charitable organizations to help the needy.

THE BEST TIME PREDICTORS FOR THE 2018 PACE RACE SEASON

The Best time predictors for the 2018 Atomic City Road Runners Club pace race season (the top 5 predictors are recognized from their 10 best run predictions where the delta time totals added up to the lowest amount in seconds as compared with all other Club members utilizing the same format. Delta time being the difference in seconds between the participant's stated time for a run and the actual recorded time for that run. The winners were awarded cash prizes):

VELECHOVSKY IS TOP PREDICTOR IN FINAL RACE OF SEASON

Jan Velechovsky had a perfect prediction of 10:00 in the 1 mile run on the Canyon Rim Trail. Other accurate predictors were: Becky Chamberlin with a 6 second difference as well as the first finisher in the 2 mile distance with a 20:56, Bob Weeks recording a 6 second delta as well, Luke Hetrick at 12 seconds off and the top finisher in the 3 mile race recording a 17:12, Heidi Bjorklund with 15 second difference, and Aaron Jackson at 19 seconds off.

14 year old Evan Vincent was the first finisher in the 1 mile run at 6:27 and his 11 year old sister Ellie was the top female recording a 6:51.

In the 1.5 mile distance Linda Vance was first at 17:09 and the best male finisher was Brian Newnam with a 20:10.

Nikol Strother was the best female finisher in the 3 mile race recording a 19:21.

The Club will co-sponsor the Annual CROP Turkey Trot at the Middle School on Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at 2:00 PM with sign up beginning at 1:00 PM. More specific information will be forthcoming.

The Club hopes you enjoyed the 2018 season and the 2019 pace race season will start at the Canyon Rim Trail on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 at 6:00 PM.

ROMERO IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Ted Romero was the best predictor in the weekly pace held on the Bridge Loop on the trails behind the Aquatic Center with a 7 second differential in his prediction. Other accurate predictors were: Ryan Smeltzer at 18 seconds off, Aaron Jackson with a 18 second difference as well as the best finisher in the 3 mile race at 24:03, Adam Stainer at 30 seconds off, and Chris Michel recording a 56 second differential.

On the 1 mile road course 9 year old William Strother was the top finisher with a time of 8:51 and sister 11 year old Savanna Strother was the first female at 9:02.

14 year old Evan Vincent was the first finisher on the 1 mile trail course with a 9:06 and sister 11 year old Ellie Vincent had a 9:08 for best female finisher.

On the 3 mile course Lynn Bjorklund recorded a 28:03 for first female.

Next week's race will be held on the Canyon Rim Trail starting at the trailhead across from the Co-operative Market on East Road (State Route # 502) on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at 6:00 PM. It will the last pace race of the 2018 season. 1, 1.5, 2, and 3 mile courses will be available.

ROMERO IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(9-18-2018)

Ted Romero was the best predictor for Tuesday's pace race, being only 2 seconds off for his prediction for 5 miles adjusted to 3 miles.

Tuesday's pace race was a fairly-flat 1-mile paved-loop mainly on Estante Way in Pajarito Acres. One could run any number of loops but with a requested time of 45 minutes or less. All distances from 1 to 5 miles were done.

The fastest for 1 mile were Majorie Keiler and Gillian Erickson (both 15:28) and Bob Weeks (15:44). For 2 miles, the fastest were Sean Thomas (16:00) and Savannah Strother (22:12). For 3 miles, Zeke Wilmot (26:09) and Beth Davenport (33:49) were the fastest. The only 4-mile runner was Nikol Strother (39:41). The fastest 5-mile runner was Ryan Smeltzer (37:01).

The smallest differences between actual and predicted times in seconds, adjusted to 3 miles, were Bob Weeks (132 seconds) and Marjorie Keiler (174 seconds) for 1 miles, Sean Thomas (45 seconds) and Sonja Behnke (63 seconds) for 2 miles, Mary Snow (31 seconds) and Zeke Wilmot (111 seconds) for 3 miles, Nikol Strother (166 seconds) for 4 miles, and Ted Romero (2 seconds) and Ryan Smeltzer (22 seconds) for 5 miles.

Next Tuesday's Pace Race on 6-25-2018 at 6:00 PM will start in the parking lot next to the Aquatic Center. There will be 1 and 3 mile runs on trails and a 1-mile paved course.

BJORKLUND IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(9-11-2018)

Lynn Bjorklund was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held by the golf course with a 1 second differential off her predicted time as well as the top female finisher in the 5K distance at 26:59. Other accurate predictors were: 8 year old Anders Medin at 9 seconds off, Aurea Rojas recording a 16 second difference, Tamara Jurado at 17 seconds off, and Linda Vance with a 18 second difference.

In the 1 mile race 11 year old Savanna Strother was the first finisher with a time 7:59 and 9 year old brother William Strother was the best male at 8:40.

Eric Anderson was the top 5K finisher recording a 23:45.

Next week's race will be on held on Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 at 6:00 PM on the Estante Way/Potrillo Drive 1 mile paved loop in Pajarito Acres in White Rock. Participants can run/walk from a mile or more up to a 45 minute time limit. Accurate predictions will also be involved.

PACE RACE FOR TUESDAY, 9-4-2018 CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

The pace race scheduled for Tuesday, 9-4-2018 on the Canada Bonito Trail up by the Ski Hill was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, September 11th, 2018 at 6:00 PM starting on the Golf Course service road which is just up after taking a right at the traffic circle to North Mesa onto San Ildefonso Road on the right. 1 mile trail and 5K trail/paved runs will be available.

ROMERO IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(8-28-2018)

Ted Romero, Sean Thomas, and Ryan Smeltzer had the best predictions in Tuesday's 2.8-mile pace race, with delta times of 2, 5, and 9 seconds, respectively. The best predictors for the 1-mile race were Anders Medin (6 seconds off) and Roxana Candia and Sue Elkins (both 15 seconds).

The pace-race was held Tuesday in Pajarito Acres and started on Acoma Lane. For 1 mile, the fastest runners were Eddie Gartz (6:21) and Savanna Strothers (8:01). For 2.8 miles, John Rees (17:53) and Lynn Bjorklund (21:21) were the fastest.

The other better predictors (and the time in seconds that they were off their prediction) for 2.8 miles were Zachary Medin (21 seconds), John Rees (23 seconds), and Ted Williams (29 seconds). For 1 mile, good delta times were run by Paul Elkins and Jackie Marr (both 18 seconds) and Adrian Medin (19 seconds).

Next Tuesday's Pace Race on Tuesday, 9-4-2018 at 6:00 PM will start at the ski hill with the trailhead just past the ski hill lodge on the right and and go on the trail towards Canada Bonita. Courses will be 1 mile paved and trail and 2 and 3 miles trail.

GIBSON AND MEDIN TIE FOR TOP PREDICTOR

(8-21-2018)

Lindsay Gibson and Zach Medin tied for best prediction in the weekly pace race held in the Quemazon Complex at 18 seconds off. Other accurate predictors were: 8 year old Anders Medin with a 24 second differential, 6 year old Luke Gibson and Roxana Candia who was also the first female finisher on the 1 mile course recording a 9:41 at 39 seconds off, 7 year old Anders Medin and Aaron Jackson tied at 42 seconds off, and 8 year old Levi Gibson recording a 60 second difference as well as the top finisher on the 1 mile course with a time of 8:40.

On the 3 mile course Travis Gibson was the best finisher at 26:05 and the first female was Lynn Bjorklund recording a 31:52.

Next week's race will be held in White Rock in Pajarito Acres starting at the end of the Cul de Sac on Acoma Lane which is located by heading through White Rock center on State Route # 4 West and driving about 1 mile from the Pajarito Road junction and turning left on South Monte Rey Drive and turning right on Potrillo Drive to the first right on Acoma Lane. 1 and 2.8 mile paved runs will be available.

BREMSER IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Jeremy Bremser had the best prediction in the weekly pace race on the Ponderosa Campground trail at 11 seconds off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Sanna Sevanto with a 23 second differential as well as the best female finisher on the 3 mile course at 28:08, Zeke Wilmot at 30 seconds off and was first on the 2 mile course recording a 19:20, Travis Gibson recorded a 34 second difference and was the best finisher on the 3 mile course with a time of 22:26, and Ryan Smeltzer was 38 seconds off.

7 year old Levi Gibson was the top finisher in the 1 mile race at 8:08, and Lindsay Gibson was the first female recording a 11:28.

On the 2 mile course the best female was Priscila Rosa with a time of 23:46.

Next week's race will be the Quemazon "Gut Buster" in the Quemazon Complex off North Road with start at the Montessori School located by taking the first right after entering the Quemazon Complex. 1 mile paved and 3 mile paved/trail runs will be available.

WATERBURY IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Valerie Waterbury had a 3 second error off her predicted time for the top prediction at the weekly pace race held on the trail behind the Aquatic Center. Other accurate predictors were: 11 year old Libby Nolen was 15 seconds off as well as the first finisher in the 1 mile road course with a 8:21, 5 year old Tristan Johnson and grandmother Heidi Bjorklund were tied at 27 seconds, 9 year old Jacob Waterbury recorded a 33 second difference, and Jackie Marr was 36 seconds off.

9 year old William Strother was the top male finisher in the 1 mile road course recording a 9:11.

On the 1 mile trail course 8 year old Logan Nolen came in at 10:06 and Becky Chamberlin was the first female at 11:16.

Aaron Jackson was first overall on the 3 mile trail course with a time of 26:17 and the best female finisher was Laura McClellan recording a 33:22.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, 8-14-2018 at 6:00 PM on the Ponderosa Campground Trail in the Bandelier National Monument located by taking a left at the State Route # 501 (West Jemez Road) and State Route # 4 junction (the Back Gate) and immediately on the right on State Route # 4 East. 1, 2, and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

ROSA IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Zachary Medin and Sonja Behnke had the best predictions in Tuesday's pace race, with delta times for 3 miles of 8 second. The best predictors for the 1-mile race were Priscila Rosa (3 seconds off) and Adrian Medin (5 seconds).

The pace-race was held Tuesday on Sherwood Blvd in White Rock and on Piedra Loop in La Senda. It started and finished at Pinon (Rocket) Park. For 1 mile, the fastest runners were Sean Thomas (6:41) and Roxana Candia (7:54). For 3 miles, Ryan Smeltzer (19:56) and Lynn Bjorklund (22:21) were the fastest.

The other better predictors (and the time in seconds that they were off their prediction) for the 3 miles were Aurea Rojas (38 seconds), Lynn Bjorklund (39 seconds), and Ryan Smeltzer (44 seconds). For 1 mile, good delta times were run by Anders Medin (7 seconds), Roxana Candia (14 seconds), Duane Marr (16 seconds), and Sean Thomas (19 seconds).

Next Tuesday's Pace Race on 7-31-2018 at 6:00 PM will start by the Quemazon Montessori School off North Road and Quemazon Road in the Quemazon Development. Runs will be 1 and 3 miles. The 3-mile run will go up Pipeline Road (the "Gut Buster").

McCLELLAN IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Laura McClellan was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the trail off West Jemez Road (State Route # 501) across from the Laboratory "S" Site at 16 seconds off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Aurea Rojas with a 20 second differential as well as the top female finisher in the 3 mile trail run at 30:20, Zach Medin at 27 seconds off and the first finisher in the 3 mile road race recording a 22:33, Ryan Smeltzer with a 38 second difference and coming in at 25:13 for the top finisher in the 3 mile trail run, and Zeke Wilmot at 73 seconds off.

In the 1 mile road race 10 year old Savanna Strother was the first finisher at 8:25, and 7 year old Adrian Medin was the top male finisher recording a 9:05.

Brian Newnam placed first in the 1 mile trail run with a time of 17:37, and Denisse Ortiz-Acosta has a 38:57 for best female finisher.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 at 6:00 PM in White Rock on Sherwood Boulevard at Pinon (Rocket) Park across from Smith's. 1 and 3 mile paved runs into the LaSenda area will be available.

MARR IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Duane Marr was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held on the trails behind the Aquatic Center and on Canyon Road with a 6 second differential from his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Zach Medin at 8 seconds off, Aurea Rojas with a 17 second difference as well as the first finisher in the 3 mile road run at 25:43, Lindsay Gibson recorded 24 seconds off, and Mark Bjorklund at 29 seconds.

7 year old Levi Gibson was the best finisher in the 1 mile distance at 8:02 and Roxana Candia was the top female with a time of 8:15.

In the 3 mile road race Jeremy Bremjer was the first male recording a 36:21.

On the 3.1 (5K) mile trail run Travis Gibson was the top finisher at 23:49 and Sanna Sevanto was the first female with a 29:21.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 at 6:00 PM across from the Laboratory "S" Site on West Jemez Road (State Route # 501). 1 and 3 mile paved and trail routes will be available.

SNOW IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Mary Snow was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the pollution control plant service road in lower Ancho Canyon at 1 second off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Priscila Rosa with a 6 second differential, Sean Thomas at 7 seconds off, Ryan Smeltzer with a 11 second difference as well as the top finisher in the 3 mile distance with a time of 21:09, and Aaron Jackson and Bob Weeks tied at 12 seconds off.

7 year old Adrian Medin was the first finisher in the 1 mile run recording a 7:44 and Roxana Candia had a 7:45 for best female finisher.

Nikol Strother was the top female finisher in the 3 mile race with a time of 21:51.

Next week's race will be held on July 10th, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Aquatic Center on Canyon Road. 1 and 3 mile paved distances will be available.

STROTHER HAS PERFECT PREDICTION IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

9 year old William Strother had a perfect prediction in the weekly pace race held on the new section of the Canyon Rim Trail. Other accurate predictors were: Uvaldo Hinojosa with a 8 second differential, Sanna Sevanto and Lyle Cunningham with a 10 second tie, Aurea Rojas at 12 seconds off, and Ted Romero with a 13 second difference.

Zeke Wilmot was the top finisher in the 1 mile race at 7:28 and Roxana Candia was the first female recording a 8:19.

In the 3 mile distance Ryan Smeltzer had a 20:18 for best finisher and Nikol Strother was the top female at 21:49.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018 at 6:00 PM on the pollution control plant service road at the bottom of Main Hill Road (State Route # 502) turning left just before the State Route #4 West junction to White Rock. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available.

BEHNKE AND DAVENPORT TIE FOR BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Sonja Behnke and Beth Davenport were 8 seconds off their predicted time in the weekly pace race held on the Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument. Other accurate predictors were: 12 year old Aidan Colgan with a 12 second differential, Zeke Wilmot at 18 seconds off, 10 year old Savanna Strother recording 21 seconds off as well as the first female finisher in the 1 mile distance, and Mark Bjorklund with a 28 second difference.

On the 1 mile course 9 year old William Strother was the top finisher at 10:06.

Chris Michel was the best finisher in the 2 mile distance recording a 21:38 and Priscila Rosa was the first female at 23:04.

In the 3 mile run Ryan Smeltzer finished first with a time of 21:30 and Lynn Bjorklund had a 24:58 for top female.

Next week's race will be on Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 at 6:00 PM on new section of the Canyon Rim Trail starting by Knecht's Auto Repair near McDonalds by the Smith's Marketplace parking lot. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available.

CHAMBERLIN, WATERBURY, AND WILMOT TIE FOR TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(6-12-2018)

Becky Chamberlin, Valerie Waterbury, and Zeke Wilmot all were 3 seconds off their predicted time in the weekly pace race held at East Park. Other accurate predictors were: Zach Medin with a 5 second differential, 7 year old Adrian Medin at 6 seconds off, Aaron Jackson and Jason Waterbury tied at 15 seconds, and Ted Williams with a 16 second differential.

In the 1 mile run 8 year old Anders Medin was the best finisher at 8:22 and Priscila Rose was the first female recording a 9:40.

Luke Hetrick was the top finisher in the 3 mile distance with a time of 21:08 and wife Adrienne Hetrick was the best female finisher at 21:47.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018 at 6:00 PM on the Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument located by taking a left at the junction of State Route # 501 (West Jemez Road) onto State Route # 4 East (The Back Gate) 2 miles on the right. 1, 2, and 3 mile courses will be available.

HINOJOSA IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(6-5-2018)

51 runners and walkers took to one and three pace race courses on Barranca Mesa (since Deer Trap Mesa was closed preventing the 2 and 4 mile course from being used). All finishers were treated to cool watermelon.

In the one mile course around Navajo, Los Pueblos and Barranca Roads, Anders Medin and Becky Chamberlin had the best predictions, only 4 second off their predictions for an adjusted delta of 12 seconds off. Other good predictors were Duane Marr with an adjusted delta of 24 seconds, Jason Waterbury with an adjusted delta of 36 seconds, and Lindsay Gibson with an adjusted delta of 39 seconds.

In the three mile road course around Navajo, down to the end of Los Pueblos and back around Barranca Road, Uvaldo Hinojosa had the best prediction of 8 seconds off of his prediction. Other good predictors were Ted Romero who was 15 seconds off, Mary Snow was 16 seconds off, Zachary Medin who was 24 seconds off, Linda Vance who was 41 seconds off, and Adrienne Hetrick who was off by 44 seconds.

Sean Thomas was the fastest one-miler with a time of 7:45 and Luke Hetrick was the fasted three miler with a time of 19:43.

Next Tuesday night's pace race on June 12th, 2018 begins at 6:00 pm at East Park on East Road (State Route # 502). One and three mile paved courses will be available.

CANDIA, MEDIN, AND NOLEN HAVE PERFECT PREDICTIONS IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

(5-29-2018)

Roxanna Candia, Lily Nolen, and Adrian Medin had perfect predictions for the 1-mile race. The best predictors (and the time in seconds that they were off their prediction) for the 3-mile race were Zachary Medin (4 seconds), Ted Romero (16 seconds), Mary Snow (41 seconds), and Laura McClellan (41 seconds).

The weekly pace race started at Pinon/Rocket Park and was done with 46 participating. The race used a staggered start, and predictors with the slowest times started first. Starting last were the ones with the fastest predicted times: Roxana Candia and Adrian Medin for 1 mile, and Zachary Medin and Ted Romero for 3 miles.

Next Tuesday's Pace Race on June 5th, 2018 at 6:00 PM and will be in the area of Deer Trap Mesa and will start near the junction of Barranca and Navajo Roads on Barranca Mesa. 2 and 4 mile trail runs as well as 1 and 3.1 mile paved runs will be available.

ELKINS IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Paul Elkins was the top predictor in the weekly pace race held in Rendija Canyon with a 3 second error off his predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Clay Moseley with a 7 second differential, Lindsay Gibson and Jackie Marr tied at 15 seconds off, 6 year old Luke Gibson with a 21 second difference, and 9 year old William Strother at 24 seconds off.

In the 1 mile distance 7 year old Levi Gibson was the first finisher recording a 7:49 and 9 year old Mila Moseley was the best female at 8:34.

Luke Hetrick just edged out Travis Gibson for top finisher in the 3 mile distance with a 23:54 time and wife Adrienne Hetrick was the first female at 25:56.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, 5-29-2018 at 6:00 PM in White Rock at Pinon (Rocket) Park on Sherwood Boulevard across from Smith's and will be the "Staggered Start" race where participants start depending on their prediction from slowest to fastest with the goal of everyone finishing at the same time. 1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.

CANDIA AND GEHRING TIE FOR BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Roxanna Candia was 6 seconds off her predicted time as well as the first place female finisher in the 1 mile distance with a time of 9:07 along with Mandie Gehring who also had a 6 second differential on American Springs Road up in the Jemez. Other accurate predictors were: Zach Medin at 11 seconds off, Aurea Rojas recording a 13 second difference as well as the best female finisher in the 3 mile distance with a 27:13, Travis Gibson at 15 seconds off and the top finisher on the 3 mile course recording a 20:15, and 8 year old Zach Gibson at 18 seconds off.

Pasha Trudolyubov was the top finisher on the 1 mile course with a time of 7:20.

Next week's pace race will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018 at 6:00 PM on Rendija Canyon Road just beyond the Sportsman's Club about a mile from the junction of San Ildefonso Road on Barranca Mesa. 1 and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

HINOJOSA IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

61 runners came out to run the figure 8 courses of 1 mile and 3 miles in Bayo Canyon. Uvaldo Hinojosa was the best predictor running the 3 mile course with only 14 seconds off.

Other close predictors were: Levi Gibson @27 seconds off and Felix Candia with a 31 second differential.

Pasha Trudolyubol was the first man on the 1 mile course @ 8:15 and Libby Nolen was the first woman @ 9:07.

On the 3 mile course, Luke Hetrick @ 19:58 was the first man and Adrienne Hetrick was the first woman @ 23:42.

Next week's pace race will be held on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 at 6:00 PM and will take place American Springs Road approximately 1.6 miles on the right up State Route # 4 West in the Jemez Mountains by turning right from the Back Gate at the junction of State Route # 501 (West Jemez Road) and State Route # 4.

BJORKLUND IS BEST PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Mark Bjorklund was 10 seconds off his predicted time in the weekly pace race held starting at Firefighters Park on the corner of 45th Street and Arizona Avenue. Other accurate predictors were: Ted Romero at a 11 second differential, Adrienne Hetrick at 24 seconds off as well a the first place female in the 3 mile distance at 25:24, Ted Williams with a 27 second difference, and Luke Hetrick at 34 seconds off and the top finisher in the 3 mile run recording a 21:34.

7 year old Levi Gibson was the best finisher in the 1 mile race with a time of 8:54 and Priscila Rosa was the first female finisher at 11:37.

The next pace race will be held on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at 6:00 PM just North of the traffic circle separating North Mesa and Barranca Mesa by the tunnel. 1 mile paved and 3 mile trail runs will be available.

MEDIN HAS A PERFECT PREDICTION IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

8 year old Anders Medin had a perfect prediction of 10:00 minutes in the 1 mile run held on North Mesa by the Rodeo Arena. Other accurate predictors were: Lynn Bjorklund with a 3 second differential, Ted Romero at 14 seconds off, Sanna Sevanto with a 15 second difference as well as the first place female in the 3 mile distance with a 23:55, and Kris Toggle at 16 seconds off.

In the 1 mile run 9 year old William Strother was the top finisher at 9:13 and his sister 10 year old Savanna recorded a 9:15.

Aaron Jackson had a 21:17 for best finisher on the 3 mile course.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Fireman's Playground located at 45th Street and Arizona Avenue. 1 mile road and 3 mile trail courses will be available.

SEVANTO IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Sanna Sevanto was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the Canada de Buey Trail in White Rock at 1 second off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Aurea Rojas and husband Felix Candia at 13 seconds off, Tamara Jurado and Zac Medin with a 14 second differential, Jackie Peckham at 15 seconds off, and Ted Romero with a 46 second differential.

9 year old William Strother was the best finisher in the 1 mile distance at 10:25 and the first female was Steph Webb recording a 13:19.

On the 3 mile course Aaron Jackson was the first finisher with a 21:13 and the top female was Lynn Bjorklund at 23:02.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 at 6:00 PM and will be on the trail just North of the Rodeo Arena on North Mesa behind the horse stables area. 1 and 3 mile races will be available.

CUNNINGHAM IS TOP PREDICTOR IN WEEKLY PACE RACE

Alexandra Cunningham was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held on the pollution control plant access road in lower Bayo Canyon with a 1 second difference off her predicted time. Other accurate predictors were: Kris Tuggle at 5 seconds off, Nikol Strother with a 10 second differential, Ted Romero recording a 14 second difference, and Mariela Vargas at 19 seconds.

On the 1 mile course Libby 11 year old Libby Nolen was the top finisher at 7:59 and Ian Cunningham was the first male with a 8:20.

Luke Hetrick recorded a 18:43 for best finisher on the 3 mile course and wife Adrienne Hetrick was the first female at 21:05.

Next week's race will be held on Tuesday, 4-17-2018 at 6:00 PM and will be on the Canada del Buey Trail in White Rock. The start will be on Meadow Lane just West of the Chamisa Elementary School near the playground.

ROMERO IS TOP PREDICTOR IN SEASON OPENING PACE RACE

(4-3-2018)

Ted Romero was 1 second off his predicted time in the 45th season opening pace race held on the Canyon Rim Trail. Other top predictors were: Felix Candia with a 20 second differential, 9 year old William Strother recording a 21 second difference as well as being the first finisher in the 1 mile distance at 8:57, Linda Vance at 22 seconds off, and Libby Nolen and Ian Cunningham at 26 seconds off and both 11 year olds being the first place finishers in the 1.5 mile run at 14:44 and 14:47 respectively.

10 year old Savanna Strother was the top 1 mile female finisher recording a 9:00.

Becky Chamberlin was the best finisher in the 2 mile distance at 20:48 and 7 year old Logan Wolen was the first male finisher with a 26:19.

In the 3 mile race Luke Hetrick was the top finisher at 19:40 and Nikol Strother was the best female finisher recording a 20:18.

Next week's run will be held on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 at 6:00 PM on the pollution control plant access road near the bottom of Main Hill, State Route # 502, just past the junction of State Route # 4 and taking a left next to the State Highway Maintenance area.
